Welcome to the IONS® Québec 2016 conference website.

The International OSA Network of Students (IONS®) meetings are organized by students, for students. Supported by The Optical Society (OSA®), they seek to provide attending students with the opportunity to discuss their work, connect with peers, and exchange ideas.

Our local student chapter, the REPOL, is very proud to be hosting an IONS® conference in the beautiful city of Québec, Canada. We believe we have prepared a very interesting program for the three days of the conference, May 20-22, 2016, that will take place mainly on the campus of Université Laval. The first two days will be dedicated to talks and posters from students, which will be interwoven with two inspiring plenary lectures, a cocktail with representatives of the industry, a casual banquet, and many occasions for networking, discussion, and fun. For the last day, aptly called Social Day, you will participate in a lab tour in the morning and then go to the sugar shack for a truly iconic culinary experience!

IONS® Québec 2016 is scheduled just before the annual meeting of the Centre for Optics, Photonics and Lasers (May 23) to which you are invited and the Photonics North 2016 conference (May 24-26), all hosted in the same city. That makes many good reasons to travel to Québec!

Extended deadline registration is closed.

We hope that you will find all the information you need on this website. Otherwise, contact us at repol@phy.ulaval.ca and we will be glad to help.

We are all looking forward to meeting you!
